Reports

Reports is now live for Pro+ and Enterprise customers in every region. Get ready-to-use reporting on your business right inside Ignition, without exporting to spreadsheets.

What's new

  • 20 interactive reports covering business overview, revenue, sales, clients and collections

  • Save and reorder reports for quick access

  • Filter each report by date range, partner, manager, service, client status and more

  • Drill into the underlying records from supported metrics and charts

Who can access this

Pro+ includes Reports access for 1 user and Enterprise for 2. Admins who can edit users can manage Reports access from Settings → Users.

On the Pro plan? You'll now see Reports in your navigation, where you can register your interest in a free trial.

Bulk client group proposals

Create proposals for many client groups at once, instead of building each one by hand.

What's new

  • Select groups on the Client groups page and click Create proposal

  • Use the same four-step wizard as a single proposal: select a template, confirm details, adjust pricing and review the summary

  • Ignition drafts one proposal per group, with the group's primary client as signatory

  • Choose who each service is for and who is billed before sending ‒ Ignition won't send a proposal until these are set, so no service or invoice goes unassigned

Client groups ‒ a page of their own

Client groups now have their own list, so you can find and work with your family groups, trusts and trading entities without needing to remember a member's name first.

What's new

  • A new Client groups item under Clients in the navigation, which appears once you've created your first group

  • Search your groups by name and see each group's member count and primary client at a glance

  • Start a new proposal, archive or delete a group straight from the list, or create a new group

  • Existing links to group pages redirect automatically, so your bookmarks keep working

Renewals for group proposals

Renew group proposals the same way you renew any other proposal, rather than rebuilding multi-entity engagements by hand each year.

What's new

  • Renew a single group proposal from the proposal itself, or use bulk renew

  • Mix single-client and group proposals in the same bulk renewal

  • Services stay grouped by who they're for and who's billed

  • If an entity has left the group since the original proposal was signed, Ignition names them before creating the renewal and leaves their services out

Note that only one renewal can exist per client group at a time.

Client details and custom text on documents

Add a client's name, address and your own text, like a taxpayer ID, to a document before it goes out for signature. No more keeping a separate copy of the same PDF for every client.

What's new

  • In Templates → Documents, drag Client name, Client address and free-text fields onto an uploaded document and resize them

  • Client fields fill in automatically from the client record, and free-text fields are typed in

  • Works on proposals and on standalone signature requests

  • Your client sees the filled-in values on the document before they sign

  • An empty field prints blank, so a missing value never stops you sending

AI Service Creator

AI Service Creator lets you turn the information you already have, such as emails, meeting transcripts, engagement letters, statements of work or a plain-English description, into review-ready services in Ignition.

What's new

  • Matches against your existing service library, so you reuse what you have instead of creating duplicates

  • Everything is shown to you for review before anything is added

  • When a service description comes back missing or too brief, Ignition now writes one for you automatically

Who can access this

Pro plan and above.

More control over failed payment retries

Choose how many times and how often Ignition retries a failed payment, so more failed payments are recovered automatically with less manual chasing.

What's new

  • Set up to 3 automatic retries on a failed payment

  • Choose the interval between each retry

  • See retry indicators in the Collections table at a glance

  • View retry activity in the activity log within the invoice

Nothing changes unless you adjust it ‒ the default is still 1 retry, 3 days after a failed payment.

Consistent date controls for manual invoices

Set the invoice date and due date before issuing any manual invoice, whether it's a one-off invoice or manual billing items. Handy at month and quarter end, when work billed today belongs to an earlier period.

What's new

  • Edit both the invoice date and the due date before issuing

  • When a payment is being collected, the due date sets the payment date, so you can schedule collection per invoice

  • Manual billing items now work the same way as one-off invoices

  • See the selected dates before issuing, so you can confirm them up front

The invoice date can be backdated where allowed, and due dates can be up to 3 months ahead when payments are set. Automatic scheduled billing isn't affected.

Edit tax rates when invoicing

You can now view and edit the tax rate on each service when issuing a manual invoice or scheduling an invoice. This gives you control over the tax applied at the point of invoicing, rather than relying only on the rate set on the service.

Milestone split presets

Building milestones in the proposal editor is now quicker. Milestone splits come with presets based on what firms most commonly use, so you start from a sensible default instead of from scratch.

A refreshed look and easier navigation

We've polished Ignition's look and navigation so it's easier to scan and find your way around, with more consistency across the app.

What's new

  • Clearer navigation: the current page is highlighted in purple, Clients now sits just under Home, and Labs and Help are at the bottom of the main navigation

  • Settings now uses horizontal tabs instead of sidebar submenus

  • Apps has been renamed to Integrations

  • A new Help page guides you to support, onboarding, learning and community

  • Simpler Create new and profile menus, plus more consistent page layouts throughout

What's new in Labs

AI Proposal Creator (Ignition Labs)

AI Proposal Creator is now open to everyone in Ignition Labs, with no invitation needed. Turn a plain-English instruction, plus an optional transcript, email or statement of work, into an editable proposal draft matched to your clients, templates, services, pricing and billing rules.

What's new

  • When it matches a service from your library, it can now adjust that service to reflect specific instructions in your prompt or engagement letter

  • Missing or too-brief service descriptions are filled in automatically

  • A new Prompt Library, linked in the feature, with example prompts based on how other firms use it

Enable it from Labs at the bottom of the main navigation.
