Videos are a great way for you to bring authenticity and personality to your client engagement.
If you are on a Pro, Pro+ or Scale plan, you can add videos from Loom, YouTube, and Vimeo directly to your proposals.
With this feature, you can add an Introduction Video and a Next Steps Video to all of your proposals.
This means you have maximum flexibility in adding a different video to each proposal you create in Ignition!
To get started, the first thing you’ll need to do is record a video and save/upload it to one of our supported video providers.
Recording videos doesn't have to be hard, here’s a short article on how to make it fun and easy by using Loom.
Intro and Next Steps Videos
We support videos hosted on Loom, YouTube, and Vimeo for adding to your proposals.
To add a video, all you'll need is the regular share link (URL) that Loom, YouTube, and Vimeo provide. See “Retrieving your video URL” section below for more information.
There is no limit on video size or length! We simply display the video and don't store or host it.
Note: If the video is protected with a password you’ll need to provide the password to your client. Also, if your video is set to Private, only people who have been given access will be able to view it in your proposal.
Once you have the video URL, there are two places in your proposal where you can add it:
1. Start of proposal i.e. Proposal Introduction
2. After proposal is accepted i.e. Confirmation & Next Steps
How to add a video to a proposal
If you go to the proposal editor, you’ll find a separate section for each of these on the Presentation page.
Introduction Video
Next Steps Video
To add a video, look for the Add Video button in each section.
Once you click it, a pop-up will appear.
Enter or paste in the URL to your video from one of the supported video providers. You’ll then see a preview of the video instantly appear.
Click the Add button for it to be added to your proposal.
The pop-up will then disappear and you’ll see the added video URL and preview.
If you’ve put the wrong video in, or the wrong URL, you can remove it and add a new one by clicking the Replace Video button.
Note: If you duplicate a proposal with a video attached, this will automatically duplicate that video as well, meaning that you don't have to enter the URL again!
