Clients can be created in Ignition in multiple ways. In this article, we'll go through how to create clients manually.
Creating a Client through the Clients tab
Click on the Clients tab.
Click on the + New client in the upper right-hand corner.
3. A panel will slide out from the right with fields where you can enter your client's information.
The fields that are required are Client name, Contact name and Contact email.
If you want to add more details, click More details in each section. This allows you to add more information such as partner, manager, client group, external client ID's and addressee fields.
External Client ID
Use the External Client ID free-text field to enter a client ID or reference code from another system.
Creating a Client While Creating a Proposal
You can also create clients on the fly while composing a proposal.
On the proposal creation screen, click on the Search for a client field, and click on Create new client.
2. This opens the same right hand slider for you to enter your clients details shown above. Once you have filled out the required fields and saved the client, it will return you to the proposal creation page with your newly created client already selected for the proposal.
