Sync settings

Sync Clients

Controls whether client data will sync between Ignition and CCH Axcess by default on all newly created Ignition clients. You can change this on a client basis through the Apps tab when viewing a specific client.

Default Client Type

Choose which default client type you would like your clients to be assigned to by default in CCH Axcess. This can be later changed within each client's settings.

If you have different client types set up in CCH Axcess, this can be customized by mapping each client to the specific type in the client settings.

Client creation and sync

Convert CCH Axcess clients into Ignition clients

If you would like to import your CCH Axcess clients to and convert them to Ignition clients, navigate to Clients → App clients → Connected app.

The Import screen will list all of your clients in CCH Axcess.

Click a client to convert it to an Ignition client or link it to an existing Ignition client to set up automatic syncing.

If you convert an app client to an Ignition client, Ignition will first check for any potential matches in Ignition to prevent duplicate clients. Duplicates are based on the client's name in CCH.

If a duplicate is detected because of a matching client name, you'll have the opportunity to link your app client with that Ignition client instead of converting them.

Please note: There has to be an exact match of the client name or email address in order for Ignition to raise the potential duplicate.

Linking to an existing Ignition client

The benefit of linking an app client to an existing Ignition client is to prevent duplicate clients in both systems which can get tedious to fix.

To link your CCH Axcess clients to an Ignition client, navigate to Clients → App clients → Connected app → Import.

Find and select the clients you would like to link → select Next → select Link to Ignition client, Import as New or Don't Import.

Importing CCH Axcess client while creating a proposal

If clients already exist in CCH Axcess, when creating a new proposal you can search your CCH Axcess clients from the dropdown.

Once selected, make sure to Save client before continuing.

Once saved, Ignition will begin to sync client data if you have this setting enabled.

Mapping to existing contacts

Ignition uses the Client Name to determine if a new client should be created in CCH Axcess. If the Client Name in Ignition exactly matches a Client Name in CCH Axcess, then Ignition will assign all proposals to that existing client.

When creating a new client in Ignition, you can 'map' the Ignition client record to an existing CCH Axcess record so that any new proposals generated from Ignition will link to that existing client.

If the spelling/formatting of the client name in CCH Axcess e.g. Acme Co LLC is different to what is in Ignition Acme Co Limited, these two clients can be linked together to avoid creating a duplicate client record in CCH Axcess.

To do this, simply click into Clients → Select the Client → Edit Client → Apps Tab > App Client Mapping → Select the CCH Axcess client you want to map to.

Creating new CCH Axcess contacts

If you create a client in Ignition that does not match any existing CCH Axcess contacts, Ignition will create a new record in CCH Axcess when the proposal is accepted for this client.

Client sync

New clients created in CCH Axcess will sync to Ignition once per day, and will be made available in the dropdown from the proposal editor. If you've created a client in CCH Axcess and would like to create a proposal for them immediately, navigate to the Apps tab and click the manual Sync button.

Invoice importing

Automatically import and collect payments on unpaid invoices from CCH Axcess, reducing manual follow-ups, managing debtors and improving cash flow. With Ignition's online payment portal, you can invite clients to pay with flexible options while effortlessly tracking and managing payments in one centralized platform.

How to Sync Unpaid Invoices from Your Connected Ledger

To enable this beta feature in Ignition, navigate to the Apps tab → click into your ledger - CCH Axcess.

Next, open the Invoice SettingsSync unpaid invoices toggle → Save.

Once enabled, Ignition will start automatically importing any unpaid invoices from CCH Axcess that were billed in the last 90 days.

These unpaid invoices from the ledger will be available in the Outstanding tab under PaymentsCollections. Invoices typically appear in Ignition within 1 to 2 hours.

Only invoices that are Issued or Approved and are Awaiting Payment in the ledger will be imported. New unpaid invoices will typically appear in Ignition every 1 to 2 hours.

View imported invoices

Once the feature is enabled, the Outstanding tab under PaymentsCollections will show a list of all unpaid invoices regardless of whether Ignition created the invoice or it was synced from your ledger. To view only the unpaid invoices imported from the ledger, apply the Source filter → select Ledger.

How to get paid

Unpaid invoices from your ledger are now available in Ignition to view and request payment via the Outstanding tab in Collections. At this time, payment requests can only be sent individually. We are working on building a bulk payment request function.

Request payment method

Send a payment request to your client whether a payment method is on their file in Ignition or not. Send individual payment method requests to your clients within their client file in Ignition.

To send an individual payment request, click the 3 action dots on the right of the overdue invoice in the Outstanding tab → select Request Payment.

Customize the payment settings and message → click Preview to view a preview of the client email → click Send via email to notify the client.

Schedule payment

If you have payment details stored for the client within Ignition, you can schedule the payment to be collected for the unpaid invoice. To schedule a payment, select the overdue invoice in the Outstanding tab → select Schedule.

Your client's experience

Your client will receive an email with a copy of the invoice and a link to add a payment method. This link will direct them to the client portal, where they can add new payment methods and manage existing ones.
