Ignition’s Reporting API gives you direct access to your firm’s data, allowing you to extract and integrate it into your preferred reporting ecosystem. Build tailored reports that provide a complete, firm-wide view of performance.

The Reporting API allows you to extract Ignition data and load it into your data ecosystem to build custom reports and analytics.

Please note that the API is read-only. This means:

  • No data can be written back to Ignition

  • No system synchronization is supported

  • Existing Ignition data cannot be modified

User Access

You must be an Admin user in your Ignition practice. Only admins can create OAuth applications and manage API access. The API accesses data for the entire practice, so admin-level permissions are required.

How to set up the Reporting API

  1. Log in to Ignition as an admin user

  2. Click your profile name at the bottom of the sidebar

  3. Select Developer Hub from the menu or click here.
