Deep links in tables

We've updated the tables across the Proposals, Billing, and Collections pages to make navigating your data faster and more intuitive.

What's changed

  • Each table now leads with the item name (e.g. proposal name on the Proposals page), making it easier to scan and find what you're looking for.

  • Client names are now clickable links ‒ click a client name in any table to go directly to their record, saving you extra clicks.

Reporting APIs

You can now pull data directly from your Ignition account via APIs and feed it into business intelligence tools like Power BI.

Why it matters: If your firm needs reporting that spans across offices, departments, or service lines, the Reporting APIs let you build the custom dashboards and insights that fit your needs ‒ without manual data exports.

Who can access this: Customers on Pro+ or Enterprise plans.

Proposal Label (Experiment)

You can now customize the client-facing label shown on proposal emails and the accept page. Whether your firm calls them "engagement letters," "contracts," or "agreements," you can match the terminology your clients expect.

Why it matters: Using familiar language builds trust and keeps your communications consistent with how your firm operates.

How to try it: Head to Settings → Labs to enable Proposal Label.

Who can access this: All Ignition customers.

Billing in the main menu

Billing has been promoted to a top-level item in the main navigation, along with a refreshed table layout that makes it easier to see and action your unbilled work at a glance.

What's new

  • The table now leads with Service Name for easier scanning, followed by Client, Bill On, Price Type, and Amount.

  • A summary bar at the top displays the total value of your unbilled work (e.g., "83 results · $840,290").

  • Simplified filter controls with a single "More filters" button.

  • A new "Select all" option lets you quickly select all services for a client on a single page, speeding up your invoicing workflow.

  • All team members, including Member-level users, can now use the Billing tab to take action at more than just the client level.

Why it matters: Surfacing billing at the top level means less time hunting for unbilled work and faster invoicing.

Service Categories (Experiment)

You can now organize your services by category ‒ making it easier to filter, sort, and manage your service library.

What's included

  • A new Service Category column on the Services page.

  • A side panel to manage categories on each service.

  • Sort and filter services by category.

  • Categories are included in exports and can be assigned via CSV import.

Why it matters: As your service offering grows, categories help you keep things organized and make it faster to find what you need.

How to try it: Navigate to Settings → Labs to enable Service Categories.

Multi Office (Early Access)

For firms operating across multiple offices, Ignition now supports centralized subscription management. Secondary offices inherit their subscription plan from the primary office, and principal users can switch between practices with a single login.

Who can access this: This is currently in closed early access. If you're interested in joining, reach out to your account manager or our support team.

Ignition MCP (Experiment)

The Ignition MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a secure connection that lets AI assistants like Claude Cowork and ChatGPT/Codex interact directly with your Ignition account. You can connect Ignition to AI tools, ask questions about your Ignition data, and automate administrative tasks.

Why it matters: MCP is the emerging standard for connecting AI tools to real-world apps. This is the foundation for an AI-native Ignition experience.

How to try it: Head to Settings → Labs to enable the Ignition MCP.

Who can access this: Customers on Core, Pro, and Pro+ plans.

Guest Checkout (Experiment)

Guest Checkout gives you a dedicated payment URL that you can share anywhere ‒ on your website, in client communications, or wherever you collect payments. Think of it as a flexible payment portal without the constraints of an Ignition-generated invoice.

Why it matters: Guest Checkout helps businesses that have payment flows outside of Ignition consolidate and capture that revenue within a single platform for ease of discovery, reporting and accuracy within a single platform.

How to try it: Head to Settings → Labs to enable Guest Checkout, then navigate to Settings → Payments to find your unique URL.

FYI Integration (Early Access)

Ignition can now connect with FYI Elite keeping both systems in sync. Two key capabilities are now available:

  • Client sync: Clients created in Ignition flow into FYI and vice versa. No more duplicate data entry.

  • Job deployment on proposal acceptance: Jobs are automatically deployed in FYI when a client accepts an Ignition proposal, meaning no more missed job setups.

Why it matters: Removes the manual handoff friction between Ignition and FYI, giving you consistent client records and automated workflows across both platforms.

Who can access this: Currently available in closed early access for AU/NZ/UK customers on Pro and Pro+ plans. General availability planned for May 2026.
