Change orders ‒ now available to all
Change orders have graduated from beta and are now available to everyone, on every plan. They make it easy to apply approved changes to an already-accepted proposal without starting a fresh proposal or issuing a one time invoice.
What's new
Choose Issue change order on any accepted proposal, from the edit actions or the ellipsis menu
Adjust the price or description of an existing service, add new services, or remove them
Set the billing mode and billing rules on newly added or edited services
Reschedule billing schedules, deposits, and milestone service types
Your client reviews and accepts the change, and it's recorded against the original proposal ‒ the PDF updates and future renewals pick up the latest version
Ignition MCP ‒ now available to all
The Ignition MCP (Model Context Protocol) has graduated from early access and is now available to everyone. It lets you connect your AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT) directly to your Ignition practice and manage your workflow in natural language, without clicking through the app.
What's new
Manage the full proposal lifecycle (create, edit, send, and renew)
Manage your clients and contacts
Drive your deals pipeline (create deals, move stages, win or lose, and add notes
Manage your services, templates, and terms
Connect securely through a production-grade OAuth flow
Digits integration
The Digits integration connects Ignition to Digits as your accounting ledger. It automates invoicing and payment reconciliation, just like our Xero and QuickBooks Online integrations. Invoices raised in Ignition flow into Digits, and payments reconcile automatically.
What's new
Sync clients between Ignition and Digits
Automatically deploy invoices from Ignition to Digits
Automatically reconcile payments between Ignition and Digits
Stripe Capital ‒ now in Australia and on QuickBooks Online
Stripe Capital has expanded. It's now live for customers in Australia, our first launch outside the US, and now supports QuickBooks Online alongside Xero and non-ledger accounts.
Offers are subject to Stripe eligibility.
What's new
Stripe Capital is now available to eligible customers in Australia 🇦🇺
QuickBooks Online is now supported for eligible US customers, alongside Xero and non-ledger accounts
Automatic offers ‒ Stripe reviews eligibility daily based on your payment activity and processing history, and emails you a co-branded financing offer when you become eligible, so there's no need to request one
Who can access this
🇺🇸 US businesses: QuickBooks Online, Xero, and non-ledger accounts.
🇦🇺 AU businesses: Xero and non-ledger accounts, with QuickBooks Online coming soon.
Invoice PDFs ‒ now available to all
Invoice PDFs have graduated from Ignition Labs and are now available to everyone, on every plan. Generate and download a clean, professional PDF of any invoice to keep for your records, forward to a client, or attach for a bookkeeping or compliance requirement.
What's new
Generate and download a polished PDF for any invoice from the invoices page
PDFs carry the full invoice detail (e.g. line items, amounts, and tax), along with your practice branding and your business and client details
Download the invoice PDF straight from the payment portal
The PDF is attached to invoice emails and to payment receipt emails. Receipts are regenerated to reflect the paid status, so clients see a $0.00 balance due when an invoice is paid in full
Invoice numbers on the PDF now match the invoice email
Invoice table updates
We've made the invoices table easier to work in, so you can act on unpaid invoices without leaving the page.
What's new
A new Request payment bulk action on the Unpaid tab (this is the same flow from the collections table, now where you need it most)
New filter: Active payment request (Yes/No)
New filter: Has payment collection (Yes/No)
Payment plans without a payment method
You can now set up a payment plan without choosing a payment method first. Rather than selecting the method up front, you can request one from your client.
Your client adds a payment method, select a payment plan, and can accept it directly from the payment plan link.
What's new in Labs
Terms redlines (Ignition Labs)
When a client's legal team wants changes to your engagement terms, you can now handle their markup without revoking and rebuilding the proposal.
What's new
Turn on Client can suggest changes so clients can request edits to your terms
Your client marks up the terms in Microsoft Word using Track Changes and emails the file back
Upload the file to review the tracked changes inline and accept or reject each one
Enable it from Settings → Labs. This is an early experiment ‒ we'd love your feedback.
Ignition Compliance (Ignition Labs)
Ignition Compliance helps Australian accounting firms operationalise their AML/KYC obligations by embedding client verification and compliance workflows directly into the engagement process.
What's new
Automatically identify when client verification is required
Guide clients through AML/KYC checks as part of the engagement
Maintain an auditable compliance record, all within Ignition
Available in Ignition Labs (Early Access) for firms in Australia on Core, Pro, and Pro+ plans.
Retainer audit log (Ignition Labs)
We've added an audit log to the Retainer balance Labs feature. Any account with Retainer balance enabled can now see the full history of changes to a client's retainer.
Retainer balance is available in Ignition Labs. Enable it from Settings → Labs. We're continuing to build on this feature based on your feedback.
In-person card payments (Ignition Labs)
We're exploring in-person card payments (i.e. taking a client's payment on a card reader and reconciling it automatically against their Ignition invoice) and we're recruiting AU businesses for an early pilot.
In-person card payments now appears in Ignition Labs as an invite-only feature. If you'd like to take part, head to the Labs tab and register your interest on the in-person card payments tile.
This is an early-stage exploration, so there's nothing to switch on yet. Registering your interest simply adds you to the pilot shortlist.
