Overview
Practice health summary
An at-a-glance summary of your business's health: contracted monthly revenue, revenue per client, collections, outstanding accounts receivable (AR), active book, pipeline, clients at billing risk, and recent payment failures.
Use it when you want one screen that shows how the business is doing, like before a partner meeting or as a weekly check-in.
Filters: Partner, Manager, Client tag
Revenue
Monthly revenue
Monthly revenue split into existing clients, new clients and unbilled work, with year-to-date revenue, month-on-month change and overdue unbilled work alongside.
Use it when you're tracking growth month to month and want to see how much comes from new business versus your existing clients.
Filters: Date range, Partner, Manager, Client, Revenue basis
Forecast
Projected revenue over a forward window, modeled from your new-business and renewal pipeline. Adjust inputs like close rate, renewal and net-new conversion, and target growth to compare scenarios side by side.
Use it when you're planning ahead and want to test what next year looks like if renewals land at a different rate than this year.
Controls: Window, Target growth vs last year %, Projection method, Close rate %, Auto renewal conversion %, Auto net-new conversion %, Revenue basis, Show scheduled line, Show monthly target line
ARPC & ARPE trends
Average Revenue Per Client (ARPC) and Average Revenue Per Engagement (ARPE), trended over the rolling 12 months ending each month. Tiles beside each chart compare the latest month to the same month last year.
Use it when you want to know whether a pricing or packaging change actually moved your averages.
Filters: Partner, Manager, Client tag, Client
Monthly billings by client
Billed revenue by client, or by client group, per month. By default it shows recurring billing schedule revenue. Switch Billing type to One-off (which includes standalone invoices) or All for a broader view. It also shows your top client and how concentrated your revenue is across your top 10 clients.
Use it when you're looking for missed billings, or checking how much of your revenue depends on a few clients. If a client's monthly revenue drops to zero, a billing may have been missed or their proposal may have ended.
Filters: Date range, Partner, Manager, Client, Client group, Billing type, View by (Client or Client group)
Revenue by service
Billed and collected revenue by service. A chart shows your service category mix over time, followed by a ranking of your services for the selected period. Click any service to see which clients make up its revenue.
Use it when you're deciding which services to grow, reprice or retire.
Discounts
Revenue before and after discounts, broken down by service, partner and client, with your overall discount rate and the share of clients receiving a discount. Switch Billing status to Not yet billed to see every discount on your open billing schedules, whatever the date.
Use it when you want to know what discounting is actually costing you, or to catch discounts that were promised but haven't been billed yet.
Filters: Date range, Partner, Manager, Client, Service, Billing status
Upcoming billing preview
Scheduled billings due in the selected time window, so you can see what's about to be invoiced.
Use it when you want to check what's going out before it's invoiced, or confirm what a particular partner's or manager's clients will be charged.
Filters: Time window, Minimum amount, Billing type, Partner, Manager, Client
Sales
Sales conversion rate
Conversion rate by the month a proposal was sent, split into net-new and renewal, alongside average days to accept, proposals sent and accepted, accepted proposal value, and average revenue per engagement.
Use it when you want to know how many of your proposals convert, and how long they take to close.
Filters: Date range, Partner, Manager, Sales cycle, Deal size band
Sales performance
Proposal outcomes (Won, Waiting and Lost) ranked by partner or manager. Use Attribution to choose whether each bar credits the client relationship owner or the day-to-day job owner.
Use it when you're comparing how your team is performing and want to be deliberate about who gets credit for a win.
Filters: Date range, Attribution, Partner, Manager
Net new vs renewal sales
Total accepted proposal value per month, split into Net New (clients in their first financial year with you) and Renewal (clients in a later year). The tiles at the top show financial-year-to-date totals, whatever date range the chart is set to.
Use it when you need to know whether growth is coming from winning new clients or keeping existing ones.
Filters: Date range, Partner, Manager
Proposal aging & risk
Proposals at risk in your live pipeline. A table sorts every proposal awaiting a response by how long it's been waiting, and a calendar shows which proposals will auto-expire in the next 60 days.
Use it when you want a chase list of proposals going cold, and anything about to expire on its own.
Filters: Partner, Manager, Client, Client tag, Metric mode
Renewal pipeline
Clients whose agreements end within your selected time horizon and expiry window, sorted soonest first and grouped by whether a renewal proposal already exists. It shows clients needing renewal, revenue at risk, and how many are still to action. Click an Earliest expiry, Billed, Status or Days left value to see the detail for each service.
Use it when you're planning renewal season and need to know what's expiring, what it's worth, and what hasn't been actioned.
Filters: Expiry window, Time horizon, Renewal status, Partner, Manager, Client tag, Client, Service, Service type
Contract value
Total contract value compared with what's been invoiced and what's been collected, by month, with contracted monthly recurring revenue alongside.
Use it when you want to see the gap between what you've agreed to deliver and what has actually turned into cash.
Filters: Time window, Partner, Manager, Client tag
Proposals (export)
A table with one row per proposal, showing the client, partner, manager, dates, value, outcome and the option the client selected. It shows Won proposals by default. Change the Outcome filter to include others.
Use it when you want the raw proposal list to download and analyze yourself, rather than a chart.
Filters: Date range (sent), Outcome, Partner, Manager, Client, Client tag, Options offered, Option selected, Service
Clients
Client report
Client growth and attrition by month: total active clients, clients in their first year, and clients lost. Prior-year comparison is turned on by default.
Use it when you want to know whether your client base is actually growing, and how this year compares to last.
Filters: Date range, Dormancy period, Partner, Manager, Client tag, Prior year comparison
Collections
AR aging
Outstanding accounts receivable by client, split into the standard aging buckets of 1 to 30, 31 to 60, 61 to 90, and 90+ days. It includes a table by client, a tile for each bucket, and a ranked list of your most at-risk clients. The buckets follow the same aging convention as QuickBooks Online and Xero.
Use it when you're working through collections and need to know who to chase first.
Filters: Partner, Manager, Client tag, Client, Aging, Minimum outstanding, Max days overdue
Collections health
Your current AR balance, overdue invoices, and which invoices need chasing today.
Use it when you want a short, repeatable daily or weekly chase routine rather than a full aging analysis.
Collections by client
Invoiced, collected and outstanding revenue per client. Think of it as the collections side of Monthly billings by client.
Use it when you want to see which clients are consistently slow to pay, rather than which invoices are overdue right now.
Filters: Date range, Partner, Manager, Client tag, Minimum invoiced, Client
Payment method health
Spot payment method problems before they cause failed billings. It tracks four measures: clients with no payment method on file, payment methods expiring soon, broken payment methods, and recent failures. It also includes a chart of upcoming expiries and a table of at-risk clients by payment method.
Use it when you want to fix payment problems before a billing run, instead of chasing failed payments afterwards.
Filters: Status, Expiry horizon, Partner, Manager, Client, Card type, Default, Last failed
Comparing the same month across years
Three reports compare periods directly:
ARPC & ARPE trends shows year-on-year tiles beside each chart.
Client report has prior-year comparison turned on by default.
Forecast lets you set a growth target against last year.
For a more specific question, like how many one-off jobs you billed each September, open Monthly billings by client. Set the date range to cover the years you want to compare, then switch Billing type to One-off. This shows one-off billings by month, so you can compare each September side by side.
For proposal-level detail instead of revenue, use Proposals (export) and download the rows.
