Introduction

In November last year, Ignition introduced new subscription plans and pricing (Core, Pro and Pro+) for new customers to reflect our significant product investment in 2023.

On July 1, 2024, we’ll be migrating existing customers on our old Starter, Professional and Scale plans to the new plans and pricing, while making some further plan refinements.

Why?

The new Core, Pro and Pro+ plans and pricing are designed to better reflect the value Ignition now offers.

In the last 12 months, we’ve launched over 90 new product features and enhancements to help our customers maximize revenue and profitability, improve cash flow, and increase efficiency.

These include Instant Bill for ad hoc or out-of-scope work, bulk proposal creation and renewals, automatically raising prices when renewing agreements, additional payment options, and more.

Note: Ignition last raised prices for customers nearly two years ago in July 2022.

What’s changing?

We’ve made changes to some plan inclusions, including more active clients across all new plans, as well as increasing subscription fees. Our annual plans also now offer greater savings compared to our monthly plans.

We've introduced an additional fee for ACH payments above a certain threshold for customers using these payment methods.

FAQ

Why are you migrating me to a new plan?

We’re standardizing our subscription plans to ensure we have a single set of high value plans available in the market. This means we’ll be retiring our old Starter, Professional and Scale plans. Customers on legacy plans will be automatically migrated to new equivalent plans from July 1, based on their billing date.

When will this migration happen and what plan will I be migrated to?

From July 1, 2024, customers on Starter, Professional and Scale plans will be automatically migrated to a new equivalent plan, based on their subscription billing date.

Will existing customers lose existing plan inclusions when migrated to new plans?

No - existing customers will retain any existing features (if no longer available on the equivalent new plan), while benefiting from the new plan inclusions.

When will I be charged the new subscription fee?

If you are on a monthly plan, you will be charged the new plan and subscription fee on your July monthly billing date. You can choose to change your plan at any time.

If you are on an annual plan, you will be charged the new plan and subscription fee upon your next annual renewal date after July 1. You can choose to change plans prior to your renewal.

Why are you introducing additional fees for ACH/Direct Debit/PAD payments?

Like any payment processor, Ignition takes on some risk proportional to the size of the payment. If a client disputes a bank account payment, we have to return the money to the client immediately and trust that we can claim those funds back from our customer. If that’s not possible, for example, due to a business being dissolved or fraudulent activity, then Ignition becomes liable for honouring the client dispute.

This fee only affects a small percentage of payments and crucially helps us continue to offer competitive rates on typical payment sizes. Learn more here.
